Dragon Boat racing is a team sport consisting of 22 key players; 20 paddlers, 1 steersmen and 1 drummer. The sport is a unique form of rowing. Dragon boats are approximately 44ft in length, 4ft in width and are designed as dragons with head and tail. Each person sits side by side a team member and must watch each other every move. Since dragon boats have such large dimensions, it takes plenty of man power and just the right team coordination to get this dragon cutting through waters.

Dragon boat racing is the fastest growing outdoor sport in the world according to Paddler Magazine. It combines tradition with modern day teamwork, enthusiasm, and strategy. This sport has over 50 millions fans world wide, is practiced in over 50 countries and it popularity continues to grow.
